Ray Vansco – Lead Trumpet

A graduate of the Berklee College of Music in Boston, Ray Vansco is a free-lance trumpet player in the New York Metropolitan area. He is also a member of the “PMF Horns” horn section, currently touring internationally with Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees “Little Anthony & The Imperials.”

As a sideman he has performed with; The Golden Boys (Frankie Avalon, Bobby Rydell and Fabian); Lou Christie; Connie Francis; The Temptations; The Four Tops; The Drifters; Jimmy Beaumont & the Slyliners; The Duprees; and others.

In the 1980’s Ray toured the United States playing split-lead trumpet with the Tommy Dorsey Orchestra under the direction of Buddy Morrow; he recorded, performed in concert and appeared on television specials with Buddy Rich, Mel Torme, Jack Jones, Maureen McGovern, the L.A. Voices, the Pied Pipers, Patti Page, the Maguire Sisters, Eddie Fisher, Connie Stevens and other well-known artists; and appeared in "Sentimental Swing The Music of Tommy Dorsey" filmed at the Hollywood Palladium aired nationwide on PBS.
